My mediation practice typically comes from referrals from lawyers who respect my knowledge and experience in the field of divorce and family law. I have a reputation for resolving divorce and family dispute cases fairly and reasonably. Through mediation, you can avoid the extraordinary cost of litigation and resolve your divorce issues without the uncertainty inherent in leaving it to a judge to decide your future.
As a mediator, I act as a neutral. I receive from each of you necessary information regarding income, property interests, children, etc. I inquire as to your respective preferred outcomes and guide you towards mutually acceptable resolutions. I will generally be asked to draft a Terms Sheet or a proposed Marital Settlement Agreement which must be reviewed by your respective attorneys before anyone signs anything or is otherwise bound.
Competitive Rates
My hourly rate is extremely competitive for the Baltimore-Washington Metro area particularly when you consider my years of experience and the high regard for my services expressed by my peers and former clients. I generally work directly with you, without the presence of your attorneys, so that you are not incurring attorney’s fees during the mediation. You are encouraged to speak to your attorney when necessary to receive independent legal advice. I am also happy
to conduct the mediation with you and your respective attorneys if that is everyone’s preference.
