About Me
I have received the Martindale-Hubbell “AV Preeminent” rating every year since 1997. This peer review rating, from one of the oldest national lawyer-rating services, is the highest rating given for legal ability and ethics. Ratings are based on feedback from local attorneys.
The Baltimore County Bar Association honored me with the prestigious “J. Earle Plumhoff Professional Lawyer of the Year” Award in 2005, and in May 2019, with the “Annual Law Day Award” which is given “In Appreciation and Recognition of Contributions to the Legal Community.” I have also been selected as a “Maryland Super Lawyer” every year since 2008.
I served on the Peer Review Committee of the Maryland Attorney Grievance Commission as well as the Character Committee of the Maryland Court of Appeals, n/k/a the Supreme Court of Maryland.
I have written many articles for publication in monthly legal newsletters and have made numerous oral presentations to lawyers on divorce related topics. I was an annual guest-lecturer at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law for many years on topics concerning marital property.
